Short breaks in 2015 – sustainability in an era of austerity
This summer, Every Disabled Child Matters (EDCM) is undertaking research into short break services in England. If you are a parent carer of a disabled child, we need your help to tell us how short breaks are changing in your area and how changes are affecting your family.
Over the last four years, money available for children’s early intervention services has faced significant cuts and funding for short breaks is increasingly under pressure. EDCM wants to find out families’ experiences of short breaks in 2015 so we can make recommendations to Government, to ensure families with disabled children can get the short breaks they need.
